This is the first band I have come across the Basque region, between Spain and France and interesting stuff it is too. Berri Txarrak (translated as Bad News) pound out a thundering mix of Biffy Clyro meets Rise Against style punk. Intricate augmentation of songs and an underlying power shows they’re extremely talented musicians. Singing in their native Basque is commendably patriotic but sadly their political message is largely lost on us English speakers. That said, you can see why this band are huge in their native Spain as they can really rock and make a hell of a racket for a three piece.
